NoVa homeowners have been dreaming about their housing escape--escape from the pressure of owing more than what their house would fetch in today's market (underwater) and from worries about their adjustable loans resetting.
In NoVa and elsewhere, there's been a lot a dreaming about just dropping it all and starting anew.
The continuing flood of Floridians to DC (when will they change their plates?--or are just that many coming?) has nixed the idea of an easy life in the Sunshine State so attention has turned abroad.
Eastern Europe and Central America seem popular dream locations.
Haven't spoken with an eastern European recently, but other NoVa immigrants are incredulous at this suggestion and offer their former space next to an open sewer.
Thatched hut with dirt floors.
Probably have to kick out a squatter, though the whole village is squatting.
Summer dreams, taken away.
Just stay away from the news.
